The project is inaugurated by artist Tellas with a work inspired by the “Mare di Sardegna” to narrate, through art, the authentic soul of the island.
With the arrival of the festive season, Delphina Hotels & Resorts launches a project dedicated to Sardinian art and artists, giving life to the Delphina Gallery. An initiative aimed at showcasing local talent and narrating, through art, the authentic soul of Sardinia.
The Delphina Gallery consists of original works created by Sardinian artists, who will be periodically invited to contribute with their creativity and artistic sensitivity. The central theme, “Mare di Sardegna,” will serve as the guiding thread for the creation of paintings or installations. Each piece will enrich the spaces of Delphina’s headquarters and hotels, building a unique collection that narrates the encounter between art and the island’s extraordinary landscape.
The Inaugural Work: Tellas’ “Mare di Sardegna”
For this first edition, Delphina chose to collaborate with Tellas, one of Sardinia’s most acclaimed street artists. Born in Cagliari in 1985, Tellas has deep roots in his homeland, which constantly fuels his artistic exploration. His works are an intimate and meditative reinterpretation of the natural elements around him, a journey that explores forms, colours, and species connected to the landscape.
Tellas boasts a highly distinguished international career: he was included among the 100 best emerging artists in the world in the The Urban Contemporary Art Guide 2015 by Graffiti Art Magazine. His works have been showcased in prestigious exhibitions and festivals across the globe, in cities such as Rome, Palermo, Atlanta, Montreal, Delhi, Kaohsiung, and many others in France, Ireland, and Spain.
For Delphina, Tellas interpreted the theme “Mare di Sardegna” with his unique vision, blending the tones and forms of the marine landscape with an artistic sensitivity that celebrates nature as a source of inspiration and meditation.
