Six statuettes at the World Travel Awards and a global victory
The latest recognition in chronological order is the global consecration at the World Travel Awards 2023, the Oscars of international tourism, which awarded Delphina as ‘World’s Leading Green Independent Hotel Group’, the world’s greenest independent hotel group. An accolade that Delphina has taken home for the third consecutive time, following a lavish ceremony held in Dubai on December 1. A global award that follows the five accolades received in October 2023 at the European and national editions of the event: best Italian hotel group and Europe’s greenest independent hotel group for Delphina, best green resort in Europe and Italy for the Resort Valle dell’Erica, Italy’s best beach resort at the Resort & SPA Le Dune di Badesi.
Condé Nast Traveller: Reader’s Choice Awards selections
Authentic holidays immersed in the unique landscapes of Gallura have also captivated the 526,518 readers of the prestigious travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler, which awarded the 2023 Reader’s Choice Awards to the Resort Valle dell’Erica in Santa Teresa Gallura and the Hotel Marinedda in Isola Rossa. One of the most prestigious awards in the travel sector, it is the result of a careful selection by the magazine, which for twelve months evaluated the hotels and resorts that made its readers’ trips unforgettable. Starting with the Resort Valle dell’Erica, featured in the Top 25 Resorts in Europe, the best 25 Resorts in Europe by Condé Nast Traveler US with a score of 93.53. The wellness offerings of the Hotel Marinedda in Isola Rossa were also honoured, included by Condé Nast Traveller UK in the Best Destination SPAs in the World, the best SPA destinations in the world with a score of 93.38. The Telegraph includes Hotel Capo d’Orso among the Top 10 seaside Hotels in Italy
Among the great news this summer is also a tribute to the elegance of the Hotel Capo d’Orso Thalasso & SPA in Palau, the only hotel in Sardinia included by the prestigious British newspaper The Telegraph in its selection of “The best beach hotels in Italy”. With a rating of 9 out of 10, the boutique hotel in Palau makes it into the top 10 seaside hotels in Italy among historical monasteries and Belle Époque villas, between farmhouses and cliff-top resorts with dream beaches and thalasso pools, which travel expert journalist Kate Bolton describes as “Italy’s finest seaside retreats, where the mild evenings stretch well beyond August and the coastal breeze is ever-present in the air”.
Travellers’ Choice Tripadvisor: seven awards for seven Delphina hotels and resorts
With 7 significant awards, one for each hotel, Tripadvisor also this year recognises the online reputation of Delphina hotels & resorts with the Travellers’ Choice. The world’s most popular travel website values the choices of its community’s travellers. It annually analyses reviews, ratings saved by travellers and uses this information to honour hotels and resorts that consistently offer fantastic experiences to travellers around the world.

Sardinia remains the undisputed star, winning the Traveller Condé Nast Reader’s Choice Awards with a score of 88.08. One of the most authoritative travel magazines has elected Sardinia as the best island in the Mediterranean for 2023, surpassing prestigious destinations like Mykonos, Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, Rhodes, Santorini, Malta, the Canary Islands, and Sicily.
