New for 2016 from Delphina Hotels & Resorts: our Hotel Marinedda Thalasso & SPA at Isola Rossa is reopening its doors as a 5 star hotel, the only one along this stretch of the North West coast, for luxury holidays in Sardinia.
Set on the Golfo dell’Asinara, one kilometre from the lively fishing village of Isola Rossa, the Hotel Marinedda Thalasso & SPA is now a 5 star hotel and will inaugurate the 2016 summer season in Sardinia with significant renovations and a wide range of new services: there are elegant new Single rooms and prestigious Junior Suites, all with spacious veranda and furnished and decorated by local craftsmen with top quality materials. There are also new Family Suites with internal communicating rooms which are more comfortable and convenient in order to meet the needs of families with children.
What has not changed is the splendid and authentic nature of the North of Sardinia that surrounds the Hotel Marinedda. The Costa Rossa, the name used to describe this enchanting coastline, is a unique setting that still maintains all its wild splendour. A lengthy stretch of coast that is famous above all for its beaches and bays, separated by little inlets, coves and natural swimming pools that are all waiting to be discovered.
In front of the hotel is the La Marinedda beach, recently voted by Bell’Italia as one of the ten “paradises of sea and sand in Sardinia which you have to visit at least once in your life”. The transparent crystal clear water is made even more sparkling by the granite rocks which in this part of the island have a unique bright red colour, and together with the brilliant green of the Mediterranean maquis they give you the opportunity to take deep breaths of fresh pure air filled with the typical scents and flowers of Sardinia; helichrysum, myrtle and rosemary.
To enjoy the best of this area, there is a wide range of excursions and tours created exclusively for Delphina guests: a fleet of Delphina’s own boats leave the tourist marina of Isola Rossa every day to discover the La Maddalena Archipelago or the South of Corsica, while the appeal and attraction of the inland parts of Gallura can be found in charming small towns like Aggius (Bandiera Arancione – Orange Flag) or the famous Valle della Luna set between woods of cork oak trees and imposing granite rocks smoothed and weathered over the years by the Mistral wind.
Back at the hotel there are plenty of opportunities for relaxing, such as the pleasure of diving into the heated waters of the pools at the “Elicriso” Wellness Centre, one of the largest and most modern in the Mediterranean and specializing in Thalassotherapy. There are also lots of free sports and activities for you to keep in shape, such as archery, tennis, five-a-side football, mini-basketball, yoga, a gym equipped with Technogym machines, trekking and snorkelling. Even children from 3 to their 12th birthday will find a full programme of sports and fun activities in the Mini and Junior Clubs 6 days a week, as well as group lessons in five-a-side football, tennis, mini basketball, archery and snorkelling thanks to a dedicated and professional team of instructors.
