The following Delphina excursions are organized by the Hotel:

Costa Smeralda

After having travelled through the Gallura hinterland and stopped in the beautiful Valle Della Luna near Aggius and the little village of Luogosanto we move on to the Costa Smeralda and its capital Porto Cervo.

From here, having visited the famous little “gossip” square and its exclusive little alleys, we continue to Cannigione where lunch is planned at the Hotel Cala di Falco.

In the afternoon we continue to Baia Sardinia where it is possible to visit the centre of the village and have an invigorating swim. Around 16.00 we head back along the coast road which will give you the chance to admire the famous Roccia dell’Orso and the breathtaking scenery and road which dominates the La Maddalena Archipelago.

Qualified staff from the excursion department will be available throughout the trip.

Mini-cruise to Bonifacio and the Corsica Archipelago

For those who want to visit a selection of the most delightful corners of the Sardinia-Corsica Archipelago we suggest our mini-cruise, using our fast motorboats. This is an exclusive trip for small groups, with a maximum of 12 guests per boat.

Crossing the Straits of Bonifacio is always exciting and more so when there is the chance to see dolphins at play.

Our excursion to Corsica leaves from the port of Isola Rossa, and hugs the Northern coast of Gallura, as far as Capo Testa from which, crossing the Straits of Bonifacio, we arrive at the charming small town of the same name where there will be a pleasant visit to the historic old part.

We then continue along the South East coast of Capo Pertusato, passing below the high limestone cliffs to reach Punta Sperone and the spectacular stretch of sand that is Isola Piana for a first swimming stop; after a delicious lunch prepared by the Hotel we continue to the island of Lavezzi where we disembark near the beach for the chance to have an enjoyable walk around the island, or to explore the beautiful sea beds, or simply to relax on the beach.

Mini-cruise to the La  Maddalena Archipelago

For those who want to visit some of the most delightful parts of the Sardinian Archipelago we suggest the mini-cruise with our fast motorboats. This is an exclusive excursion only for small groups. Maximum 12 guests per boat.

Crossing the Straits of Bonifacio is always exciting, all the more so when we see dolphins at play.

The excursion to the La Maddalena Archipelago leaves from the port at Isola Rossa, hugging the north coast of Gallura as far as Capo Testa from where we cross the Straits of Bonifacio to the magnificent Archipelago of  La Maddalena.

The excursion to the La Maddalena Archipelago includes a stop for swimming in the enchantingly beautiful bay between the islands of Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria, right in the heart of the Marine National Park, and a visit to the delightful small town of La Maddalena for a short pause on dry land. Then there is a third stop for swimming from the pure white sandy beaches of Spargi. This will be a sensation that you will never forget.

After a late afternoon snack offered by the crew, we return to the hotel.

Outdoor services in Sardinia

Kayak and Stand Up Paddle: an incomparably delightful experience which allows you to appreciate in full the beauty for which the island of Sardinia is world-famous. This is “living the sea” in both an intense and above all silent way, with a means of transport that allows you to stop whenever you want, to swim and explore long stretches of coastline that are otherwise inaccessible, and discover little corners of incomparable beauty.

Trekking in Sardegna: silence and the scents of the Mediterranean scrub accompany the visitor during the treks that we offer, real experiences of complete immersion in the natural environment.

Great attention has been spent on choosing these routes and making sure that they are full of breathtaking panoramas, natural monuments and elements of geological, floristic, wildlife and historic interest. They are a wonderful opportunity for exploring and finding out more about natural and archaeological topics thanks to our expert guides and sector specialists, who are always mindful of the local and particular situation found only in Sardinia.

Mountain bike in Sardinia: the mountain bike routes follow roads that are generally free of traffic and in a delightful and varied setting, consisting of a combination of panoramic dirt roads, lovely single tracks, smooth ascents, fast descents, and steep bends without ever repeating themselves. These are pleasant excursions where the effort put in is amply repaid by the frequent chance to see wild animals admire rare species of plants, and the possibility of visiting archaeological sites and appreciating natural wonders.

La Maddalena Archipelago

After arriving by coach at the port of Santa Teresa Gallura we then embark for a tour of some of the most beautiful islands in the North of Sardinia with a spacious motor yacht that follows one of two possible routes around the La Maddalena Archipelago.

The first route includes a stop on the beach of the Isola di Santa Maria followed by lunch on board. In the afternoon, after a swim in the crystalline waters of the island of Spargi and a visit to the interesting shops in La Maddalena we return to Santa Teresa Gallura.

As an alternative, it is possible to visit the Archipelago with a stop off at Baja Sardinia and then a visit to the town of La Maddalena.

Qualified staff from the excursion department will be available throughout the trip.

For safety reasons children under the age of 3 are not permitted on the boat trips

The “Acquapark” water park, fun for all the family is about 1km away (outside operator).

The following Delphina excursions are organized by the Hotel:

Shopping at Castelsardo

An enjoyable half day guided tour gives you the chance to visit the typical mediaeval centre of Castelsardo.

This trip includes a walk up to the characteristic historic centre of the old mediaeval part of the town with the option of visiting the Church of Santa Maria and the Cathedral of  Sant’Antonio Abate.
From here we return to the town to do some shopping in the large stores dedicated to Sardinian handicrafts where you can buy souvenirs, typical Sardinian products, or just relax and enjoy an ice-cream.
During the return journey a stop is planned for photos at a viewpoint and then a visit to the famous Elephant rock, a spectacular burial chamber dating back to the Neolithic period.

Mini Tour of the coast.

For those who want to spend just half a day exploring the spectacular Sardinian coastline and then get back to the Hotel in time to enjoy the excellent buffet and have a siesta, we recommend the Mini Tour of the islands. This excursion (maximum of 12 people) includes a tour of some of the most enchanting routes in the north of Sardinia, with the possibility, depending on sea conditions, of visiting the coastline between the rosy pink fjords of Punta li Canneddi and Costa Paradiso and the enchanting wild bay of Tinnari.

The trip is broken up with two or three stops at some of the most delightful and least visited parts of the coast for a chance to swim directly from our comfortable boat. An unmissable occasion to discover the secrets of the coast that at one time concealed caves used by smugglers travelling between Sardinia and Corsica!

Daily trip

Sea Safari

The stretch of coast that goes from Isola Rossa to Santa Teresa Gallura is particularly rich in marine flora and fauna, and a Boat Safari is certainly the best way to admire the beautiful crystalline sea bottoms of the Gallura waters. The Sea Safari, an entertaining guided excursion for a maximum of 12 people, gives you the chance not only to look at the marine eco-system while snorkeling, but also the opportunity to spot dolphins and other examples of marine life.

This half-day excursion makes use of a comfortable, modern and fast boat which follows an itinerary that goes between Isola Rossa and Monte Russu.

Children should be accompanied by at least one parent.

Tour of Gallura

The Gallura hinterland is considered a marvellous resource of the North of Sardinia, a tableau of ancient traditions that have been well-preserved and maintained in a rich natural setting. In this excursion we would like to offer a particularly enjoyable journey that goes from the Hotel up to the slopes of Monte Limbara, by way of the gentle hills that are covered with natural granite rock formations sculpted by the Mistral wind. During our first stop, you will be able to visit the Nuraghe Majori, a site of archaeological interest just outside the town of Tempio Pausania. After this, you will be able to stroll through the pleasant streets and alleys of the centre and visit the stone churches that date back to the 17th Century, a period of Spanish domination. A few kilometres from Tempio Pausania is Aggius, a charming small village nestling perfectly in the midst of luxuriant greenery. Aggius is also an open window onto the Gallura of the 19th Century and the culture of the “Stazzi”, and it is here that we find the largest and most comprehensive ethnographic museum in the whole of Sardinia. Inside there is also a weaving workshop where it is possible to see women from the area at work at their looms as they prepare highly valuable carpets according to ancient tradition. You can complete your day with a visit to the Banditry Museum, which is another important part of the town, and the only one in Italy!

During the excursion a tasting of local products is planned in the magical Valle delle Luna.

The trip lasts about 6 hours.
