Mini-cruise to Bonifacio and the Corsican Archipelago

For those who wish to visit a selection of the most interesting parts of the Sardinian-Corsican Archipelago, we suggest our Mini-Cruise using our fast motorboats. This is an exclusive trip, with a maximum of 12 guests per boat.

Crossing the Straits of Bonifacio is always exciting, and often made more so by the chance to see dolphins at play.

Our trip to Corsica starts from the harbour at Isola Rossa, where we travel along the north coast of Gallura as far as Capo Testa. From here we cross the Bonifacio Straits to arrive at the town of the same name and the chance to go for a pleasant stroll around the historic old town.

We set sail once more along the south east coast to Capo Pertusato, passing under the high limestone cliffs to reach Punta Sperone and the spectacular tongue of sand that is Isola Piana for our first swim stop; after a delicious lunch prepared b the Hotel, we move on to the island of Lavezzi where we disembark near the beach, either to go for a gentle walk around the island, or to explore the enchanting sea bottom, or just to relax on the beach.

After a late afternoon snack prepared and offered by the crew, we return to the hotel.

Instead, the trip around the Sardinian archipelago includes a first swim stop among the enchanting waters between the islands of Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria, a visit to the town of La Maddalena and a final stop for a swim on the pure white beach of Spargi.

Costa Smeralda

After having travelled through the centre of Gallura and stopped in the spectacular Valle della Luna at Aggius and the little village of Luogosanto we arrive at the Costa Smeralda and its capital, Porto Cervo.

Having visited the famous “gossip square” and its exclusive little alleys and side streets, we continue to Cannigione where we stop for lunch at the Resort Cala di Falco.

In the afternoon we set off for Baia Sardinia where it is possible to visit the centre of the village and enjoy an invigorating swim. Around 16.00 we set off again back to the hotel taking the spectacular coast road which gives us the chance to admire the Roccia dell’Orso and the fantastic panoramic coast road that dominates the La Maddalena Archipelago.

Qualified staff from the excursion department will be available throughout the trip.

The La Maddalena Archipelago

After having arrived by coach at the port of Santa Teresa Gallura we set off for a tour of the most beautiful islands of Northern Sardinia with a spacious and comfortable motorboat that is able to follow two different routes through the La Maddalena Archipelago.

The first itinerary includes a stop on the beach of the island of Santa Maria for lunch on board. In the afternoon, after a swim in the crystalline waters of Spargi Island and having visited the delightful little shops of La Maddalena we return to Santa Teresa Gallura.

As an alternative, it is possible to visit the Archipelago with a stop-off at Baja Sardinia and then on to enjoy the town of La Maddalena.

Qualified staff from the excursion department will be available throughout the trip.

This is how to enjoy the sea in both an intense and above all silent way, with a way of travelling that allows you to stop whenever you want, to swim and explore long stretches of coastline that are otherwise inaccessible, and also to discover little corners of incomparable beauty.

Trekking in Sardegna: silence and the scents of the Mediterranean scrub accompany the visitor during the treks on offer; these are genuine experiences of total immersion in the natural environment.

In choosing these routes, great amounts of time and attention have been spent to ensure that they are full of outstanding panoramas, natural monuments and elements of geological, floristic, wildlife and historic interest. They are a wonderful opportunity for exploring and finding out more about natural and archaeological topics thanks to our expert guides and sector specialists, who are always mindful of the endemic local and particular situation found only in Sardinia.

Half day excursions

Shopping in Castelsardo

There is the option of an enjoyable half day guided visit to the mediaeval town of Castelsardo.

This trip begins with a walk up to the historic centre of the old town and the chance to visit the Church of Santa Maria and the Cathedral of Sant’Antonio Abate. After, there is time for shopping and the chance to look at some of the precious local handicrafts in some of the large shops and the small traditional workshops, where you can buy souvenirs, typical local products, or relax and enjoy an ice-cream.

During the return journey a stop is planned for photos and a visit to the famous Elephant Rock, with its spectacular Neolithic period burial chambers.

Mini Tour of the coast

For those who only want to spend half a day exploring the spectacular Sardinian coastline and be back at the hotel in time for the sumptuous buffet and the afternoon nap, we suggest the Mini Tour of the Islands. This excursion takes in some of the most enchanting parts of Northern Sardinia, with the option, depending on the sea conditions, of visiting the coastline between the pink fjords of Punta li Canneddi, the fabulous Costa Paradiso and the enchanting Tinnari bay.

The trip is broken up with two or three stops at some of the most beautiful and least visited parts of the coast for a short stop where you can swim directly from our well-appointed boat.

Sea Safari

The stretch of wild coastline in this area is particularly rich in marine flora and fauna. For those who want to admire the crystalline Gallura sea beds with mask and snorkel we recommend the Sea Safari, an entertaining guided excursion which in addition to giving you the opportunity of observing the rich marine eco-system, also gives you the chance to see dolphins and other forms of marine life.

This half-day excursion makes use of a craft equipped with observation tower and which follows a route taking in Isola Rossa, Tinnari and Costa Paradiso with at least two stops for the chance to swim.

This service is available on request on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Children must be accompanied by at least one parent.

Tour of Gallura

The upland part of Gallura represents a wonderful resource for the North of Sardinia, a tableau of well-preserved and maintained ancient traditions in a rich natural setting. On this excursion we give you the opportunity of enjoying a particularly fine trip that goes from the hotel up to the slopes of Monte Limbara passing across gentle hills adorned with natural granite sculptures created by the Mistral wind. During the first stop, it is possible to visit the Nuraghe Majori, a site of great archaeological interest located at the entrance of the town of Tempio Pausania. From here we go for a walk among the little streets of the centre and visit the stone churches that date from the 17th Century, the period of Spanish domination. A few kilometres from Tempio is Aggius, a delightful small village set in the lush green vegetation all around and which is also an open window on the Gallura of the 19th Century and the culture of the “Stazzi”, or small peasant houses; as a matter of fact, Aggius is home to the largest and best ethnographic museum in the whole of the island. Besides the exhibits, inside the museum there is also a textile workshop where it is possible to watch women from the town working at their looms creating prized carpets according to their ancient traditions. A visit to the equally important Banditry Museum completes our day.

During the excursion, a tasting of local products in the fabulous Valle della Luna is also planned.

The trip lasts around 6 hours.

For safety reasons, children under the age of 3 are not permitted to go on the boat trips.
